Armen G. Aprikian received his medical education and general surgery training at the University of Sherbrooke. He went on to pursue his Urology Residency at McGill University in Montreal and continued his post-graduate training and research in prostate cancer at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York. An accomplished surgeon, teacher and researcher, Dr. Aprikian to sits on the PROCURE Executive Committee, lead the PROCURE Quebec Prostate Cancer Biobank Committee and serves as a medical advisor.

Luc Beauregard C.M., APR, Fellow CPRS Executive Chairman RES PUBLICA Consulting Group
Luc Beauregard is the founder and executive chairman of RES PUBLICA Consulting Group, parent company of NATIONAL Public Relations and Cohn & Wolfe which has offices across Canada, as well as in New York and in London (UK). Recipient of numerous professional awards, Mr. Beauregard was presented with the Canadian Public Relations Society’s highest honour, the Award of Attainment. He is involved with a large number of cultural, social and community organizations. He is currently chairman of the PROCURE Nominating and Governance Committee and a member of the Audit Committee. He gives important advice on an ongoing basis for the aspects of PROCURE’s operations. He also serves on the advisory board of the Montreal Neurological Institute. Mr. Beauregard was named a member of the Order of Canada in January 1996, in recognition of his achievements in the field of business communications and his participation in community organizations.

Cédric Bisson M.D., LL. B. Partner, iNovia Capital
Cédric Bisson is iNovia Capital’s life sciences and energy partner. iNovia Capital is a venture capital fund investing in seed and early stage technology companies. Prior to joining iNovia Capital, Mr. Bisson was an associate principal at McKinsey & Company, a leading global management consulting firm, where he co-led the Canadian healthcare and innovation practices and pursued professional activities in Montréal, New York City and Paris. He is an active member of many life sciences initiatives in Canada and abroad. Mr. Bisson serves as PROCURE Chairman and sits on the Executive, Audit, Nominating and Governance, and PROCURE Quebec Prostate Cancer Biobank Committees.

Pierre Brunet O.C., FCA
Chairman of the Board, Montréal International
Pierre Brunet was President and Chief Executive Officer of National Bank Financial from 1970 to 2001. He has also served as Chairman of the Board of Governors of the Montréal Exchange, the Montréal Board of Trade, the Investment Dealers Association, the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants and the Montréal Symphony Orchestra, the CEGEP Federation and the Foundation of Greater Montreal. He currently sits on the boards of Montréal International and Metro Inc. Mr. Brunet’s many honours include the title of Fellow of the Ordre des comptables agréés du Québec, the prize “Carrière A+” of the IDA, the Order of Merit from the Université de Montréal and Officer of the Order of Canada.

Robin Burns
Founder ITECH and Board administrator Mission-ITECH
Robin Burns started his hockey career with the Montreal Jr. Canadiens, where he played 3 consecutive seasons from 1964 to 1967. He later added 240 American Hockey League (AHL) games to his portfolio with the Montreal Voyageurs and Hershey Bears. He won the Calder Cup with the Bears during the 1973-74 season. Robin also added 190 National Hockey League (NHL) games under his belt, playing with the Pittsburgh Penguins and Kansas City Scouts. He founded the ITECH hockey brand in 1984 with the launch of his innovative fully clear facial visor, a first in the hockey protective industry and a product that is still counted in the line-up today. In May of 2004, ITECH merged with Mission Hockey to form Mission-ITECH Hockey Ltd. Mr. Burns currently acts as part of the ownership group and sits as a Board Member for Mission-ITECH. Mr. Burns is a co-founder and co-chair of PROCURE’s Walk of Courage event.

Yves Fradet M.D., F.R.C.S.C. Director of the Department of Surgery Professor, Division of Surgery/ Urology Centre Hospitalier Universitaire de Québec (CHUQ)
Yves Fradet graduated from Laval University Medical School in 1976 and has been a member of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada since 1981. He is a full professor of surgery/urology at Laval University and chairman of the department of surgery. Dr Fradet studied at the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York, where he sub-specialized in urology oncology. He is a member of several national and international associations and was the first Canadian member of the Urology Research Society. He is the founding President of the Canadian Urological Oncology Group, which conducts clinical trials in the field of genito-urinary cancers in Canada. He is co-founder of DiagnoCure Inc. and member of the Board of Directors. He is President and Chief medical Officer of DiagnoCure of DiagnoCure Inc.

Salvatore Guerrera President, SAJO Co-founder, C.U.R.E.
Salvatore Guerrera runs a highly successful general contracting firm specializing in interior finishing for high-end retail chains. His energy, vision and integrity extend beyond his business dealings and into his charitable endeavours. He has been deeply affected by loved ones who have battled both breast and prostate cancer. A tireless advocate of the environment and healthcare, he supports PROCURE as Chair of the Executive Committee and as a member of the Audit Committee.

Stephen A. Jarislowsky O.C., C.Q., B.Sc., M.A., M.B.A., Lld. Chairman, Jarislowsky Fraser Limited
Stephen Jarislowsky presides over one of the largest and most successful investment management firms in Canada. Active in other corporations, educational, cultural and charitable activities, Mr. Jarislowsky has endowed eleven University Chairs and contributes frequently to television, radio, magazines and newspapers. Recipient of the Order of Canada and Honorary degrees from a number of Canadian Universities, he serves on the Audit Committee of PROCURE.

Malvina Klag, Executive Director PhD
Malvina Klag spent ten years in consulting, marketing and sales on the business side of the health sector with Andersen Consulting, Johnson & Johnson and Bristol-Myers Squibb, before moving into not-for-profit organizations. She has, over the past ten years, helped to found three healthcare charities including PROCURE, acting as its founding and current Executive Director. She also continues to do research at HEC and UQAM and to consult in the areas of strategic planning, human resource strategy and organizational development

Marvyn Kussner B.com. President (retired), Biltwell Containers Ltd.
Marvyn Kussner, a respected community and business leader, is the founding visionary behind PROCURE. As a Prostate Cancer survivor, he was concerned by the lack of reliable and detailed information on prostate cancer available to Quebecers. Mr. Kussner served as Québec President of the Association of Independent Corrugated Converters and as a director on the U.S. Board of this association. He is a Past President of the Montefiore Club and an active Board member of the Sir Mortimer B. Davis - Jewish General Hospital Foundation and of Hope and Cope. Currently, Mr. Kussner is a member of PROCURE’s Executive, Audit, Nominating and Governance, Education and Awareness and Walk of Courage committees.

Eric Lamarre Partner, McKinsey & Company
Eric Lamarre is a partner in the Montreal office of McKinsey & Company, an international management consulting firm serving organizations in a variety of industries as well as in the public sector, from government agencies to not-for-profit organizations. Mr. Lamarre has assisted large Quebec-based and international companies on strategy and corporate transformation efforts. Mr. Lamarre helped create the PROCURE Quebec Prostate Cancer Biobank and he was involve in the development of PROCURE’s comprehensive informational Website (www.procure.ca). He has been serving as a member of the Board of Directors since PROCURE’s inception.

Alain Lemaire President and CEO, Cascades Inc.
Alain Lemaire teamed with his brothers to grow Cascades Inc. into what is today a highly successful international business. His qualities as a man of action have earned him numerous distinctions, not only in the regional and national business community, but also in the environmental and social sectors. He played an integral role in the establishment of PROCURE and continues to support PROCURE’s efforts on all fronts.

David Martz M.B.A. Chairman, Martz Management Inc.
David Martz founded Martz Management Inc. to provide strategic advisory services to corporate and not-for-profit clients. He is a director of an international fashion clothing retail chain and serves on the advisory boards of several private corporations. Former V.P. Development and Corporate Secretary of the Aldo Group Inc. and a long time director of the Retail Council of Canada, he currently volunteers in a number of community roles, supporting PROCURE as treasurer, Chair of the Audit Committee and member of the Executive Committes.

Peter Mendell Associate, Davies
Peter Mendell is a partner specializing in international commercial transactions - principally mergers, acquisitions and joint ventures. He has benefited from his varied experience by leading major international mandates and assisting a large international clientele on five continents with particular emphasis in Europe, Asia and the Americas. As a consequence, Mr. Mendell has acquired significant knowledge and experience in dealing with a wide diversity of cultures. He serves as Secretary of PROCURE and sits on the Nominating and Governance Committee.

Pierre A. Michaud O.C., cr Counsel, Ogilvy Renault
Pierre A. Michaud has argued major cases before all the courts of Quebec and the Supreme Court of Canada. In 1983, Mr. Michaud was appointed to the bench of the Quebec Superior Court, becoming Associate Chief Justice in 1992. In 1994, he was appointed Chief Justice of the Quebec Court of Appeal. In the course of his judicial career, Mr. Michaud adjudicated over a thousand cases touching every branch of law.
In 2002, Mr. Michaud retired as Chief Justice of Quebec to join Ogilvy Renault the firm as counsel, focusing particularly on matters of national and international arbitration. He is a member of the ADR Chambers International Panel and the Arbitration Commission of the International Chamber of Commerce. Mr. Michaud is also Chair of the Hearing Committee, Investment Dealers Association of Canada, Québec District. Mr. Michaud is an associate professor at the Faculty of Law of Université de Montréal and was appointed an Officer of the Order of Canada in January 2004. Mr. Michaud sits on the Nominating and Governance Committee of PROCURE.

Jean Pagé
Jean Pagé’s reputable media career began at the age of 18 where he worked in radio, including weekends at AM radio station CJMT in Chicoutimi. Jean Pagé then became Director of Information at CJMT for five years before becoming host of a public affairs radio program with Radio Canada in Québec City.
At the same time, he was busy reading news for Radio Canada’s television sports division. In 1976, he began covering national events such as Hockey Night in Canada and the Olympic Games full time. In August 2003, he became host of TQS’ 110% where he now animates the program’s highly charged debates, a sports television concept unique in Québec. Today, he also contributes his energy and drive to educating men on the importance of prostate cancer awareness acting as a spokesperson for PROCURE. He is an active member of the Walk of Courage committee since its inception and a co-chair of the event.

Richard J. Renaud F.C.A. Chairman and CEO, TNG Corporation
Richard Renaud, a highly successful businessman and renowned philanthropist, has served as a director on numerous business, educational, healthcare and cultural boards. He credits his education at Loyola College of Montreal for much of his success and is dedicated to promoting education and healthcare as core means to enhance people's lives. Mr. Renaud is a founding member of the Board of directors of PROCURE.

Fred Saad M.D., FRCS(C)
Director, Urology Oncology
Professor, Division of Surgery
University of Montreal Hospital Centre (CHUM)
Fred Saad obtained his medical degree in 1985 from the University of Montreal. He completed a Fellowship in Urologic Oncology in 1992. Dr Saad established the urologic oncology clinic at the CHUM and the Molecular Oncology Prostate Cancer Research Laboratory at the Montreal Cancer Institute of the University of Montreal. Since 2004, he is in charge of the first Universtiy of Montreal Chair in Prostate Cancer. In 2005 he was the recipient of the CHUM leadership award in medicine. In 2007, he became President of the Canadian Urologic Oncology Group and the National Cancer institute of Canada G-U Group. Dr. Saad has authored over 200 scientific articles/book chapters and 500 scientific abstracts. He has been an invited speaker/professor in over 20 different countries. Dr. Saad sits on the PROCURE Quebec Prostate Cancer Biobank Committee and serves as a medical advisor.

Luc Valiquette M.D., F.R.C.S.C. Director of the Department of Urology University of Montreal Hospital Center (CHUM) Professor of surgery (urology) University of Montreall
Luc Valiquette did his urology training at Université de Montréal, and his fellowships in Urodynamics and Uroprosthetic surgery in France and Texas respectively. In addition to his teaching, he is also involved in numerous clinical research studies. He is a member of many scientific societies and advisory boards. He has a special interest in public education programs. He serves as a member of the Education & Information Committee, is a medical advisor to PROCURE and is the Chair of the PROCURE Website Clinical Advisory Council.
